Masters of Population: Reduction and Control

by Doug Plumb, The Free & Independent Times

The idea for some type of population control has been around for centuries and is still alive and well in the 21st century, whether it be orchestrated by a criminal elite or a scientific dictatorship, these ideals plague humanity.
Masters of Population: Reduction and Control
"In searching for a new enemy to unite us [all of humanity], we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. In their totality and in their interactions, these phenomena constitute a common threat which as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then is humanity itself."

The First Global Revolution (1991), A Report by the Council of the Club of Rome

The first idea that human population would grow out of control if not tempered was brought forward by Thomas Malthus. Multhus, a well known 1700's era economist argued that while population growth is exponential {1,2,4,8,16...}, food production only grows at an arithmetic rate {1,2,3,4,5...}in his essay “Principle Of Population” in 1798. Malthus gives no scientific justification for his beliefs on food production and population expansion. He argued that a certain portion of the population would always be in misery and starvation and that efforts to help them would only result in more misery due to the expanding population.

Malthus has followers even today. Stanford University biologist Paul Ehrlich wrote The Population Bomb (1968) . He declared that it was inevitable that millions would die in the 1970's using Malthusian logic. Russell Hopfenberg, also a Malthusian, wrote in Human Carrying Capacity Is Determined by Food Availability (Nov 2003 -Population and Environment).

Malthus lived until 1834 and never met the industrial age and did not include the affects of farm machinery - he lived in an agrarian society. The current food crisis does not show Malthus to be correct because true Malthusian crisis would have occurred slowly rather than abruptly after a very long period of low food prices.

US Population increase since 1834 has been by a factor of over 23 times and is now slightly over 300 million from 13 million. The US agricultural business has been plagued by accesses rather than shortages throughout most of its history since the 50's. Food prices have remained low until very recent, at which time food prices have been seen to spike.

Global food production has tracked population growth, first by expanding in area, then by increasing crop yields from technology. It may be that agricultural output follows population and that a lack of entitlement has been the cause of world hunger. [Feeding The Ten Billion: Plants and Population Growth, (Evans) Cambridge University Press].

Population increase is not proportional to food availability, nations with the greatest access to food have the lowest birth rates. Their birth rates are not high enough for replacement in the top 14 nations. Nations with poor and declining access to food have the highest population growth rates. Malthus has been shown to be incorrect in practice. [http://www.reason.com/news/show/34848.html] .

It is empirical fact that as people become more comfortable and better fed they tend to bear fewer children. [http://www.reason.com/news/show/127428.html] Bringing countries out of poverty would therefore decrease population growth rates and possibly create population contraction. The situation is very complex and there are no clear cut answers but this suggests that an end to imperialism would solve world hunger.

Modern imperialism has converted third world countries to first world countries through the provision of huge IMF loans, from which Western corporations were hired to build a modern infrastructure. Globalization has brought privatization of public assets, and the “recovery” of natural resources and has impoverished these small countries. These agendas often require bribes, military coups, assassinations and war.

These countries have agreed to buy food from the West instead of producing their own as part of globalization. Food riots currently in the news have been the result of the world recession rather than a lack of ability to feed themselves on the part of small globalized nations. The current rising food prices have been mainly due to price speculation forecasting the crop change to bio-fuel under the threat of global warming. A secret report by the World Bank shows that over 75% of the increased food costs are a result of the shift to biofuel and the additional speculation due to the anticipated shift in crop usage. [World Bank Secret Report confirms Biofuel Cause of World Food Crisis, F. William Engdahl].

Current world population sits at approximately 6 billion, population by 2050 is predicted to be less than 10 billion by the UN. Farming technology has always been able to maintain the necessary level of production and likely will over the long term.

Engdahl, the author of the well known Seeds of Destruction argues that GMO terminator seed food crops are not as efficient as normal crops and require more pesticides than traditional crops. This is shown repeatedly by many researchers and studies. The current change from food production to fuel production will provide government subsidies to farmers who switch from food to fuel. The biofuel agenda provides a greater share of farming to big agricultural firms while squashing the traditional farmer out of business. The grand design is put food production under corporate super capitalist control and in this case it is all being driven by the threat of man made global warming and overpopulation.

The public belief in overpopulation has made crop changes to GMO foods more acceptable because they believe GMO crops to be more efficient and therefore alleviate the stress of overpopulation. The GMO agenda has been for corporate agriculture to monopolize food production all over the world, through enforcement of draconian intellectual property laws.

The belief in overpopulation may be why media outlets have not been reporting the dangers associated with Aspertame as well as many other threats such as Fluoride, which are now both well known to be harmful and have been made illegal in many parts of the world. War has been justified in part by the general belief that the world is overpopulated.

Food and Water

The operation of the new corporate government has been in favour with corporations and in many cases, against people to a point that far surpasses simple injustice. Well known safety issues that have involved food and water best illustrate this fact. Corporate takeover of farming and back door lobbying has allowed dangerous substances onto the food market and has raised questions of concern. Drinking water floridation has always been a concern since its initial use in North America. Here three examples point to a government that has possibly been acting against public interest and in favour of corporations and elite agendas.

The term genetically modified foods has designated foods that have had their DNA modified using genetic engineering techniques. The most common genetically engineered crops are soybean, corn, canola and cottonseed oil. The benefit from this engineering is descreased sensitivity to natural pests and to engineer a plant that is immune from strong pesticides that may subsequently be used on the engineered crop to kill everything else. Genetic engineering of crops has been to provide an herbicide or pesticide, there is no consumer benefit to GMO crops. GMO crops have decreased yield compared to conventional crops [http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8748].

The primary objection to GMO foods is the affect of the changes in DNA have not been adequately studied, they may have created both health problems for consumers of the foods as well as future crops. The use of special pesticides for which the matching genetically engineered plants are genetically immune has had the affect of killing every other living organism at the location of the crops, damaging the existing ecosystems. Their seeds cross pollinate with other nearby non GMO crops; they cannot be contained. Genetically modified plants that create their own insecticides or herbicides may cause gut bacteria problems for who have consummed these foods. Everyone has seen the rise of cancer from being virtually unkown to a top killer.

A certain amount of genetic modification occurs in nature, but in labs in involves crossing tomatoes and goats with spiders. Goats have been genetically modified to produce the same protein that spiders use to make webs. This product is used to make bulletproof vests. Genetic engineering has offered near unlimited possibilities in the unnatural mixing of gene material.

The modification of foods through genetic engineering has been very imprecise and involves “biolistics” rather than ballistics. Foreign gene material is shot into target DNA, DNA that was not struck correctly is killed off.[Jeffery Smith]

The threat of GMO foods has been greatest for the farmer as GMO crops have threatened farmer seed stock. If a crop has had GM foods contaminate a farmers seed, the farmer must pay the Monsanto for the intellectual property. It has been possible for Monsanto to infect a crop through arial spraying the collect money from the famers for the intellectual property rights of the modified plants. Permission for this was provided by a landmark judgement in Canada.

Percy Schmeiser, a Canadian canola seed farmer from Saskatchewan who was sued by Monsanto in 1998 over contamination of his crops by GMO cross pollination. Schmeiser had no involvement with Monsanto and had been developing canola seed that was resistant to diseases and pests found western Canada. Monsanto had at first accused Schmeiser of stealing their seed but later withdrew this accusation.

The judgment in this case was heard all over the world. The judge made the decision that it did not matter how the crops were infected, or even if contamination ruined Schmeisers initial work in breeding his own seed. If Schmeiser wanted to continue to grow seed he would have to buy it from Monsanto. Profit from Schmeiser's crop was owed to Monsanto from 1998 forward. This is how Monsanto is taking control of the food supply as part of global corporatization. This has been eliminating many different seed varieties that have been bred by small farmers for their specific geographical location. [interview with Schmeiser at http://www.satyamag.com/nov02/schmeiser.html]

It may be hard to believe for some that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the USA would allow potentially harmful products to be placed on grocery store shelves. Aspartame (Nutrasweet) is a well known example of such a product. The sickness caused by Aspartame has been sometimes referred to as “Rumsfelds Disease” by activists. Rumsfeld was the prime mover in getting the FDA to approve aspartame after approximately ten years of effort.

The story of how Aspartame (Nutrasweet) became legal is another story of corporate interests being placed above that of the public. In December 1965 Aspartame was discovered at a substance that was 180 times sweeter than sugar but has no calories at G.D. Searle. In 1967 Searle began safety tests as required by the FDA. (The FDA does not actually perform tests, it is just an administration – corporations perform the tests and submit only favorable studies). In 1970 Searle executives layed out the “Food and Drug Sweetener Strategy” that they believed will put the FDA in a favorable mood for Aspartame. An internal policy memo described psychological tactics that were used to bring the FDA into a “subconscious spirit of participation” and get the FDA regulators into the spirit of saying “yes”. (this is a well known sales technique)

Searle submitted 100 studies for FDA approval after spending tens of millions on studies. One hundred studies were submitted to support Aspartame safety. The FDA grants limited approval for Aspartame in 1974. Dr. John Olney and attorney Jim Turner file objections against Aspartames approval. This triggered an FDA investigation in to the lab practices at Searle. The investigation found test procedures shoddy, full of inaccuracies and “manipulated” test data. The investigators report they have “never seen anything as bad as Searles testing”.

The FDA formally requests a US grand jury proceedings to determine if indictments should be filed against Searle for “concealing material facts and making false statements” in Aspartame safety tests. G.D. Searle hires Washington insider Donald Rumsfeld as its new CEO while the jury probe takes place.

The grand jury investigation is dropped the same year as forming due to the statute on limitations. Two years later, 1979, the FDA established a Public Board of Inquiry (PBOI) into safety issues surrounding Aspartame (by then named Nutrasweet). This board concluded that Nutrasweet should not be approved based on brain tumors found in animals. Donald Rumsfeld in a sales meeting in 1981 said that he would make a big push to get Nutrasweet approved using his political pull in Washington to get the sweetener approved within one year. Later that year Dr. Arthur Hays Jr, a new FDA commissioner, in one of his first official acts, overrules the public inquiry and ignores the recommendations of the internal FDA team and approves Nutrasweet for dried products.

Searle files a petition in 1982 for Aspartame to be approved for soft drink products. The National Soft Drink Association(NSDA) files a petition against the approval based on the fact that at temperatures above 85 degrees Fahrenheit Aspartame turns into two known toxins. The final ruling in 1983 permits Nutrasweet to be added to soft drinks with another objection raised by the NSDA as well as Jim Turner of the Community Nutrition Institute. By the fall of 1983 aspartame was used in soft drinks sold to the public. Concerns continued to be raised regarding the safety of Nutrasweet.

These two examples have shown how how food and drug corporations ultimately determine public policy on use of their products, their products are poorly studied exposing the corporate governance that we have been living under.[How Aspartame Became Legal- The Time line (Internet- Rense radio essay)]

Fluoride in the drinking water has raised concern since it has been used in North American drinking water since World War 2. Fluoride is a topical treatment that can be beneficial to dental health, it has no benefit when swallowed. Fluoride is a known toxin that was used in German concentration camps to maintain a docile population. Dr. Hardy Limeback, head of the University Of Toronto preventative dentistry program and PhD. toxicologist has recently apologized for his support for fluorinated drinking water stating that he had made an incorrect assumption while giving his approval. He has been opposed to fluorinated water since 1999. His apology and details can be found on the internet with a search for the key words: Hardy Limeback Fluoride.

Fluorinated water has been linked to decreased intelligence associated with fluoride build up in the brain according to Chinese studies [ Dr Mercola]

Depopulation

The belief in overpopulation has been firmly implanted in much of the population minds. It has grown out of inference from the environmental awareness movement – most environmental issues infer that the earth is overpopulated. Extinction of species as well as others seem to re-enforce the idea. Heavy metal and pharmaceuticals in our food and drinking water have not received the attention they have deserved, they have not not infered that the earth is overpopulated.

Emplanting the belief of overpopulation into minds of populations has partly been justified by a belief that the gene pool of the human race has been corrupted. This assumes that the nature vs nurture debate has been over and that nature does determine our long term success as individual creatures. This has been distinctly a defining Nazi belief.

The term genetics has been a relatively new term to replace the former term “eugenics” which which was born in Darwinism. Francis Galton started the eugenics movement and formalized the idea of breeding into a science. The Eugenics Review magazine was first published in 1909 but breeding has been around since the time of mules.

There has been reason to believe that the physical environment has the largest affect on physical development. Those who practice exercise and eat well have enjoyed better health. The IQ debate has suggested that IQ is determined in part by genetics. It has raised the question in the following quotation

"Measures of intelligence have reliable statistical relationships with important social phenomena, but they are a limited tool for deciding what to make of any given individual. Repeat it we must, for one of the problems of writing about intelligence is how to remind readers often enough how little an IQ score tells you about whether the human being next to you is someone whom you will admire or cherish."

Herrnstein and Murray (1994, p. 21).

Science may have been shaped to fit the belief in a corrupted gene pool to justify depopulation, certainly the global warming swindle has illustrated the affect of a corporate infection on science.

The UN agenda of depopulation has been both well known and in print for the public to read. UN documents such as Global 2000 Outlook and many others have put a depopulation agenda into text but are no longer available. Some of these documents have been found on the internet since they were first published but are no longer posted. There are thousands of web sites that point to the UN depopulation agenda, its targets and timelines.

Dr. Michael Coffman, a former UN climate scientist states that in the draft copy of the UN Global Biodiversity Assessment says that population must be reduced from the current six billion to less than one billion people.[Endgame]

The famous Georgia Guidestones are located in Elbert County, Georgia USA. This huge granite artifact was constructed in June 1979 by Elberton Granite Finishing Company and financed by an unknown party under the pseudonym R.C. Christian. The stones have stated ten guidelines under which life on earth should be managed. The first guideline is: Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature. These guidelines have been given in eight different languages.

Dr Eric R. Pianca, a top professor of zoology gave a speech to the Texas Academy of Science in March 2006 in which he explained the need to exterminate 90% of the population.

Henry Kissinger has been widely quoted as saying “control the food and you control the people”. Interested readers are advised to read Who Is Responsible for the World Food Shortage, Executive Intelligence Review Dec 8 1995 (free on the web). The US government document NSSM 200 (National Security Study Memorandum 200, April 24 1974) has been freely available of the internet. The subject of this document is “Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests” as stated in the paper. NSSM 200 describes how population growth in third world countries is a grave threat to US national security. Plans to depopulate through war and famine have been described in this document, it was adapted as policy by Gerald Ford in the 1970's.

The methods that have been used in depopulating other countries have followed the same pattern that has been observed in North America. The plan is always the same (1) Sink the country into unrecoverable debt by putting authoritarian bodies into power that can be paid off to borrow using any means necessary (2) Privatize assets of the country to pay for the huge debt and reduce the power of elected government (3) Recover the assets and let the unnecessary populations starve out of existence with corporate rule and slavery.

Both Canada and the United States are both severely indebted to the private banks and secret talks between corporations and governments for a big privatization of assets have been taking place. Mainstream news has had stories regarding the Civilian Inmate Labour program and detainment facility contracts contracts obtained by Haliburton. People have been looking the other way because they believe the world to be overpopulated.

It is logical to only maintain the number of slaves required to maximize efficiency and somehow justify it with science. Additional slaves only make things more difficult and too many could be a threat. It may be that our shepherds with to cut the size of the flock for only this reason in the new psychopathic corporate state.

whoooo... heavy article. I think a lot of people would agree that there to many people on this planet. The problem is that mankind itself is not willing to die to solve this problem.

But as you see people are willing to kill to solve this problem. Justified or not. These days its probably not survival of the fittest but survival of the people who know the most. Or know the "right" things.
